Is there anyone reading this who happens to be looking for a roommate sometime this summer or next fall? I'm coming to the conclusion that living alone is not really good for me -- I need more human contact than I'm getting. It would be great to have someone who is (or could become) a friend around to talk to in the evenings.
Don't know if this will go anywhere, but seems like it can't hurt to ask.
(One thing, though. I don't want to rent a room in someone else's apartment -- I want to share an apartment that's at least half mine, if you see the difference. I'm not a student anymore, I get paid pretty well, and I've gotten used to having some space.)
The husband and I will be looking to buy a two-family house this summer, and this will trigger all sorts of roommate possibilities (either we want a roommate, or we want a mob living upstairs from us). But, for obvious reasons, we have no other details as yet.
My idea of a satisfactory roommate is like yours.

But that's definitely intriguing.
I do have a friend of a friend moving to this city in late June. He'll be looking for a place. Are you looking to share your current space or find a new one?
Posted by: Fanw on May 8, 2005 09:30 AMMy current space is generous for one and a bit cramped for two, but it could work if the second person didn't have much stuff and didn't mind a very small bedroom. But we'd have to get along pretty well.
